FILM COMPOSER, SONGWRITER AND
Fredrik Hjulmand, aka FHIO, is an award-winning composer who has scored and supervised short films, narrative and documentary features, and live theatre. He is a Master's graduate from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, Copenhagen.

Fredrik has been making music for Twitter, Apple, Nike, Malala Foundation and It's Nice That in collaboration with animator/illustrator Aurelia Durand. He made music for the theater play "Miss Julie's Happy Valley" at Folketeateret.
In 2019 he scored the short narrative drama Uffe” by Sivert Christensen and the experimental short film "Hollow Pond" by Rolfin Nyhus, for which he won "best score" at the NYC indie film awards.
In collaboration with Johannes Ettrup, he made the music for Nitesh Anjaan’s feature documentary “Far From Home” - which made the official selection for CPH:DOX.
Fredrik is the lead singer and songwriter of FHIO and Spejlvendt. Their song “Slutspurten” appeared in the feature film "The Man" by Charlotte Sieling. He also co-wrote other songs that appear in the movie. Fredrik has played for names including Barbara Moleko, Ida Gard, and Elias Bendix as a bass player.
